Why stay here ...

We are situated in the small Domesday village of Iden with a local village pub serving evening meals and shop selling papers, food & drink, Post Office etc - both within 200 metres.

The site is a new flat 1.5 acre site with easy access. Quiet and abutting a goat sanctuary in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Laid out to mown grass and newly planted with 100+ British Woodland Trees and Wild Flowers.

Convenient for visiting the Ancient Cinque Port of Rye, Camber Sands, Sissinghurst and Great Dixter Gardens, Kent and East Sussex and Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Steam Railways, Bodiam Castle, two Bird Sanctuaries, Dungeness Dessert and many other attractions within a 10 mile radius.

Paul and Brenda are on site to give help or advice if needed. We have lived in the area for more than 50 years and are ex-caravanners.

Adults only - No Children - Sorry! Please keep dogs on a lead.

We like it quiet and we want to keep it that way in the friendliest way possible.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Iden Coach House
We pre booked a 3 night visit here. the weather was really good on the day of our arrival, as was the welcome from Paul and Brenda. Paul gave us a choice of where to park up our MoHo and we seat about settling in. This is truly a very well kept and tidy site. The power is 16A so more than you need although I believe it may now be metered. they are grass pitches, but the ground seemed really good and the grass is immaculate! all in all a site that is pleasing to the eye and a joy to sit out in with a drink / brew. there was a glitch with the Wi-Fi which Paul was determined to sort out. The signal is very good as it is a dedicated Access Point in the field itself! I'm not sure how fast the connection is as the AP was playing up while we were there and repairs were in hand as we left. Fair play to Paul as he was on it like a pack of dogs when he wound out it wasn't playing well. the local pub has unfortunately closed down BUT, the Villagers are buying it and opening it up again and they want it kept traditional! So Maybe 2025 will see the pub open with local ales etc. The pub looks really nice from the outside and its a 2-3 minute walk from the campsite, as is the local shop! For those of you in MoHo's who may prefer not to drive too much, there are bus stops pretty much right outside the site! I highly recommend going to Rye but take the bus as its quite busy and although there's a big car park in the middle of the town, its gets full very fast. Nb. After enquiring with Brenda as to which bus stop we needed to use to get to Rye, Brenda came out in her car and found us by the bus stop and drove us into Rye herself! What a star!!! Although the site is next an "A" road, its really not noisy. We shall definitely be returning to this little gem of a site. Ps. I don't give such glowing reviews readily, but this time I feel it is justified! Thank you Paul and Brenda for providing such and enjoyable stay. Ian & June

Bank Holiday weekend break

Iden Coach House
We managed to get booked in here over the August Bank Holiday weekend due to a last minute cancellation as we'd always wanted to visit Rye and the surrounding area. This CL in Iden is in a beautiful area of East Sussex close to the border with Kent. We received a warm welcome from the hosts Paul and Brenda. There are 5 pitches all with EHU and separated by areas of wildflower planting and small trees. You can site your caravan/motorhome whichever way you prefer. WiFi is free and TV reception fairly good. There is also a secure grassed area to exercise your dog off lead. Iden is a small quiet village with a convenience shop. Sadly the local pub "The Bell" had recently closed down but there are several other pubs in the area to choose from. There is a bus service into Rye if you don't want to drive/walk- the bus doesn't run on a Sunday. We will definitely re-visit this site as it's a great place to relax and unwind in peace and quiet.

Lovely site: shame about the dogs

Iden Coach House
This is a nicley laid out site but what spolied it for me was the owner has a small yappy dog which sets off his neighbours larger barking dog along with anyones dog on site. It's a real shame bearing in mind that the owners quote in their discription.......... "We like it quiet and we want to keep it that way in the friendliest way possible". For this reason we will not be returning.

Great relaxing place to stay

Iden Coach House
Just had 11 nights at this excellent site. The hosts Paul and Brenda were really helpful with local knowledge to assist our stay. The site is level with only minor adjustments if any needed for levelling; facilities are easily accessible and very clean. A sanctuary for goats and sheep adjoining the site adds to the overall senses of peacefulness. The owners have created islands of wild flowers and trees that provides a sense of privacy which is lovely but plot sizes are generous anyway. It’s a great base for accessing a range of local attractions. National Trust Card holders may suffer card fatigue but there are no shortages of interesting places to visit. Thanks for a great stay - a place to book with confidence. We will be back.

Fantastic stay

Iden Coach House
We stayed here for a week and returned home today. A beautiful spacious site and Paul and Brenda were friendly and welcoming. Huge amount of space for each unit. Loved the wild flowers and butterflies. Lovely village and easy access. Can’t wait to go back
