Great news - we’re investing £2.5 million in improving our hugely popular Edinburgh Club Campsite over 2024 and 2025. The site is now partially open with full facilities for the start of the season and is expected to fully reopen from 30 August 2024. Find out more details on the exciting redevelopment plans at camc.com/redevelopments.

Edinburgh Club Campsite is an ideal location for your holiday getaway. Situated on the Firth of Forth, the caravan park provides easy access to Edinburgh, Europe's festival capital. You will be ideally located for the many attractions, both modern and historic, that this beautiful city has to offer.

Edinburgh is a friendly, cosmopolitan city. Edinburgh Club Campsite puts you within easy reach of some of its most famous landmarks. You can visit the castle which clings dramatically to a huge rock face (home to the Scottish Crown Jewels), walk down the Royal Mile to the Palace of Holyrood House (the King's official Scottish residence), stroll past the historic Scottish Parliament Building or enjoy the tranquil green expanse of Princes Street Gardens. The caravan site location also ensures that you're well placed for the famously fun summer festivals, seaside strolls, a round or two of golf, Edinburgh Zoo and an almost unlimited choice of restaurants, bars and other entertainment venues.

The site is only a stone’s throw away from the waterfront where campers can walk along the promenade of Cramond and, only a short drive away, visitors can enjoy the popular coastal suburb of Portobello with its pubs, restaurants and shops.

*Book any UK Club campsite with a 10% fully refundable deposit (minimum £20) plus FREE cancellations and FREE amendments up to 21 days before arrival. Applies to any non-promotional booking.

Best wardens

Edinburgh Club Campsite
Stayed here for 2 nights on our way up to the Highlands. The wardens are the most welcoming and helpful ever . Great location nice walk to Cramond beach. We got the bus into Edinburgh, the stop is a ten minute walk from the site and it cost £2 per adult each way. There’s a private minibus that operates directly from the site and that costs £6 per adult return, dogs apparently are by previous arrangement. The site isn’t fully open and but the facilities were spotless. Definitely recommended

Clean site - lovely promenade walk opposite site entrance

Edinburgh Club Campsite
The site is clean and functional, but the walk to the bus to get transport into edinburgh is over a mile. The alternate, a mini bus, never returned our calls. The taxi's the site offered us were expensive at over £20, but UBER was much cheaper at £10-£14 into Edinburgh centre. So we used UBER. With empty pitches either side of me, I was told to move my van as it was well within my pitch but not between two white posts inside my pitch. Had there been a van next to me and closer than 6m I could have understood the request but the pitches either side were empty at that time so it came over as jobs worthy and not necessary. They also got me just as I was dashing for a taxi and would not allow me to move my van when I got back, but I had to do it there and then. Thus impacting my taxi plans. I understand the 6m rule but that had not been broken. That said the staff were nice on the whole and the site was clean. But the best thing about the site is the access to the promenade just outside of the site, across the rd and down the steps. That was lovely.

Noisy and site half closed

Edinburgh Club Campsite
Stopped in Edinburgh whilst travelling Scotland .Before arriving was not notified like other sites would have emailed me about building work been carried on and half of site closed with only one toilet block closed. Workers were actually parked next to my motorhome.Toilets I used were mainly broken also on top of this aircraft noisy landing and taking off from Edinburgh airport although nothing the club could be responsible for.Although the wardens were forever driving around in there loud vehicles Don’t follow sat nav due some roads now bus lanes and from June24 the new air zone charges come in .

Nice site, shame about the location

Edinburgh Club Campsite
We spent the best part of an hour driving around Edinburgh trying to find the site, partly because we mis-read the instructions in the book, but if coming from the west there's nothing to tell you that you're at the Gogar Roundabout until you've gone under it! No matter, when we arrived at the site we had a warm welcome from wonderful friendly staff. We had a serviced pitch so didn't make much use of the facilities block, but it was very clean when we did use it. I concur with an earlier reviewer about the surrounding area. The narrow approach road was full of parked cars obscuring the view ahead, so we ended up face to face with vehicles coming the other way without room to pass, us with a caravan in tow so they had to mount the curb and drive on the verge to get by. I walked out with the dog in the mornings and the surrounding hedgerows and woodland are in a very sorry state, littered with beer cans, toilet paper, you name it - yuk! We used the privately run shuttle bus into Edinburgh, which was a bit of a mistake. He charges £4 per person each way, so £16 for a return for two of us. The problem is that you are then tied to his fairly restricted timetable, and as the weather was freezing cold and my wife has limited mobility we needed to head back before our allotted time so I ended up paying another £16 for a black cab back. We should have just paid for one way, but we'll know better next time. There is a very adequate area for the dog to do its essentials and overall we liked the site and the staff were great. Royal Yacht Britannia is certainly worth a visit, as are the Kelpies at Grangemouth and the Falkirk Wheel.

Great as a stopver near Edinburgh

Edinburgh Club Campsite
We stayed here for 3 nights on a tour round Scotland. The site was only partially open when we visited due to refurbishment. The site is near to beaches and Crammond Island, I believe there is a bus service into Edinburgh but we drove ourselves in. Access was good, pitches were level, and the shower blocks requiring a code for entry were clean (if somewhat tired). The surrounding area is not very welcoming but we used the site purely as a base for visiting the city. Also to note is that the site is in the flight path to the airport so there is a little aircraft noise but not enough to worry us. The wardens here were always very busy on site and were very welcoming and friendly, a credit to the club. We would return here as a stopover again.
