Hawes Club Campsite is set in beautiful Wensleydale, where the famous cheese has been made for nearly a century, and offers delightful views. Redeveloped in 2017 and now with 10 serviced pitches, it's situated between the River Ure and the market town of Hawes and is the northern most of The Club's Yorkshire sites within the boundary of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park.

With the beautiful Dales right on the doorstep of Hawes Club Campsite, walking enthusiasts will have hours of captivating landscape to explore. The Pennine Way is another must - it still carries tracks made in previous centuries, so you can literally feel you are following in your ancestors footsteps. Also within easy reach from the caravan park, Hawes is one of the highest market towns in England at 850 feet above sea level and is blessed with an immense character that really needs to be experienced. You can stock up on supplies at the local shops in town and there are plenty of cosy, traditional pubs that offer food. Set in the beautiful Dales countryside, the Simonstone Hotel offers a delicious afternoon tea.

Excellent site, everything we could wish for

Hawes Club Campsite
From the moment we were welcomed by friendly and informative staff our stay was superb. The facilities were spotless. The large dog exercise field was the best we have ever come across, the chance to let the dogs off lead was wonderful and the view whilst throwing balls to energetic dogs was amazing! The drying room was a very welcome facility, as was the shop selling milk and bread which we needed, and other essentials. As we have come to expect from CAMC sites the facilities were more than adequate to meet my requirements as someone with limited mobility. We had a wonderful stay and went to May of the locations recommended in the leaflet. Only none disappointment, and not the fault of CAMC, the walk to Hardraw falls was not wheelchair or mobility scooter friendly despite being told by the owners that it was. The thick gravel caused the wheels to stick and the motor to stop working. Fortunately lovely walkers helped us back to our vehicle safely!

Great site

Hawes Club Campsite
Good well kept site, good for walking local or further afield. Plenty of pubs and a brilliant fish shop. Unfortunately we pitched near the farm end and had to endure the farmyard dog barking for about 4 hrs every night starting at 2am and nothings to do with campsite.will book fully service pitch next time away from farm. Since I last came here they have changed the exit way out and some people find it hard to follow the one way system .That saiid the wardens do a good job keeping the site in good order

One of the best, but...

Hawes Club Campsite
This site is excellent, certainly for location and facilities. The drive in is one of the best, certainly from the south. All went well as usual except that during our stay our dog became very ill and needed veterinary care. We found there was a vets in the village - Wensleydale Vets. Ok - just a consulting room in a portacabin on the auction mart site, but our dog got the injections and medication needed to effectively turn her round within 24 hours. I was so pleased to have found these vets that I thought others might want to know, as on the Useful Information-style handout your receive from the wardens on arrival, I think they only mention the vets in Bainbridge. I went up to the office to offer the information to come up against an amazing attitude from the warden who had a very strong opinion against these vets. Apparently they had visited the consulting room in the past but couldn't get the treatment they needed there, and were referred to Leyburn. I understand their frustration, but the vet's website clearly states that the Hawes office is just consulting and more serious cases requiring hospitalisation will be referred on. The warden wasn't interested in including the Wensleydale Vets listing in their handout which I think is wrong - these vets are walking distance and H24 callout once registered. The handout should be just useful local information based on proximity, not individual opinion. I was pretty staggered by the attitude I got. Disappointing blip in an otherwise excellent stay and weekend.

Our favourite club site

Hawes Club Campsite
Just back from an amazing 11 night stay over Easter at Hawes. Love Hawes site, a great location in the heart of Wensleydale with amazing walking straight from site. Wardens friendly and helpful, site immaculately kept with modern facilities and the benefits of a drying room for wet coats and walking boots. A lovely babes rooms with pool tables and table tennis for family fun. Already booked for next year. Can’t wait to return

Peaceful Break

Hawes Club Campsite
Just had a very peaceful week at this site. Have been many times before. Very quiet and restful. Lovely facilities and friendly wardens. Hawes is great - walk to The Green Dragon and see Hardraw Force. Wensleydale Creamery worth a visit and you can sample and buy cheeses - worth eating there too. Also recommend the White Hart for food. Short drive to Muker and Reeth - both worth a visit.
